About Us

Anna Kiousis, Nargakot, Nepal

Our Story

After a career as an International Aid Consultant developing micro-enterprises across Asia and the Pacific region, I wanted to take ownership of something that was of my own imagination.

With two young daughters, I could not continue my itinerant lifestyle and wanted to develop a true circular economy that had women weavers at the centre and made all my customers feel and look fabulous.

So Kasmiri was born in 2021 and I have learned so much working alongside the weavers to design and craft truly unique pieces that captivate hearts.

I'm often asked why our pieces are made exclusively in Nepal. The textile industry in Nepal predates the Silk Road by over 2,000 years and the handloom weaving sector is part of Nepal's cultural heritage. Our artisan weavers have impeccable skills and knowledge passed down across centuries and this is reflected in all our pieces.

I believe that luxury should feel good. Every piece is crafted with a commitment to the women whose hands bring it to life.

I am always mesmerised by the finess of each piece and it makes me happy that all my KASMIRI customers feel the same.

Our Ethics

Our collection is crafted by skilled artisans in Nepal, where traditional craftsmanship is passed down through generations. We are committed to preserving these time-honored techniques while fostering a positive impact on the local community.

We believe that the quality of our products is equally as important as the well-being of the artisans who create them. Each artisan is paid fairly and works in a supportive, safe environment where they feel respected and valued. By prioritising ethical practices, we ensure that every piece we offer embodies our commitment to people and the planet.
